A man is driving a car with his son as a passenger.
The car crashes and the man dies immediately.
The boy is survives and is quickly taken to the hospital.
At the hospital, the head surgeon says "I can't operate on this boy, he's my son."
So who is the head surgeon?
To many, this might seem like a horribly simple question. Some will find their brains being wound in circles.
The correct answer is that the head surgeon is the boy's mother.
Your answer reflects your views on women in general and their position at work.
If you didn't answer correctly, it doesn't mean you're sexist. It just means that you haven't been exposed in your life to the idea of a woman holding high responsibility at work.
If you answered correctly, then you do realize that women do stand equally to men at work.(this refers to white collar jobs)
Younger generations are more likely to get this riddle correct. Older generations including the women themselves are more likely to get it wrong.
This riddle was very popular in the 80s during the feminist movement and even got featured on the Cosby Show.
