Dark Knight Rises

The third installment of the current Batman franchise has been officially titled 'Dark Knight Rises' and is to be released in 2012. There will be no jokes about how the world will end before we get to watch it.

All the previous cast return as their respective characters, Anne Hathaway will be Catwoman/Selina Kyle and Tom Hardy will be Bane.

Many might know who Hathaway and Catwoman are but what about Hardy and the character Bane?

English actor Tom Hardy's most notable appearance recently was as Eames in the movie Inception. He has also appeared in Black Hawk Down and the miniseries Band of Brothers. That puts him down as a must-watch actor in my book.

  How to transform Hardy into Bane?

Bane on the other hand is rather more difficult to introduce. Apparently he's quite infamous as a comic book villain (34th on IGN's top villains) but I sadly just found that out. I do know however that he is the only character to have ever broken Batman's back in the Batcave no less after finding out his true identity. What a beast. He is not crazy in any way but he happens to be 8 feet tall and is dependant on a drug called Venom. He has high intelligence to match his brawn and is highly respectful of Batman.

I approve of the choice of villain (not that it matters) and things are looking good.
