Medal Of Honor Story
I'm really excited about Medal Of Honor not so much because of the multiplayer like most people but mainly because of the single player, Hopefully, it will be fully fleshed out unlike Bad Company 2 which was rather bland. Modern Warfare 2 was good but a little short. I wish the Medal Of Honor campaign will not be outshined by the multiplayer or any other game modes.
The story this time around is about the struggles of Tier One operatives involved in behind enemy lines action as well as that of the US Army Rangers in their fight against the Taliban in Afghanistan. There will be plenty of sneaking around and full scale gunfights including some vehicle sequences : similar to recent first person shooters. However, seeing as Medal Of Honor is a prestigious franchise, EA LA put all their effort into research for the game and freed of multiplayer commitments, it could finally be THE Modern Warfare 2 killer. Just saying.
Below are the two trailers that have got me so excited. They don't show much, but trailers hardly do anyway.

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood First Look
Ubisoft showed off Assassin's Creed Brotherhood at E3 and the single player looks promising. Why be a lone assassin when you can coordinate with others? In the short demo, Ezio utilized the help of fellow assassins to make a very bloody and unassassin-like entrance. Not really sure how it works but seems to be good. There also promises to be more 'epic' moments so that the game will not feel repetitive. Read more here
However, the multiplayer seems really weird, and I don't like it. Trailers below.
^ Weird or not?
*Random Thought*
Robin Hood as an Assassin. He was involved in the Crusade. He fought back against the oppressive authority. He was stealthy although he's more famous for arrows rather than blades.

Dogfighting
Not involving dogs but fighter aircraft. Not real life but video games.
I want an air combat simulator for PS3 now. I miss my Ace Combat on the PS2 but now they've run off to the 360.
HAWX doesn't really cut it for me but hopefully HAWX 2 can improve on that. It's really fun watching the replays to see my aircraft swooping around raining destruction and doom on the enemies. However, it's potential was not realized.
Some hated it, but the boss fights on AC were quite fun, but quite hard. The arcade-ish style was fun, unrealistic or not. HAWX isn't realistic either, anyway.
Ace Combat 6 should have been on PS3, I would have definitely bought it.

Killzone 3 Snippet
E3 released a lot of goodies, including a short but very badass gameplay video of Killzone 3. The video shows of the new melee system, where there is no standard animation. Instead, you are given a first person view of how you take down the enemy. Very violent, but very nice. This is a PS3 exclusive. Although I'm a Halo fan, I think this might just top Halo Reach so IN YOUR FACE MICROSOFT

Resurgence Pack
Another multiplayer map pack for Modern Warfare 2 has been announced, titled Resurgence Pack. It will be a Xbox 360 exclusive for a limited time before being released on PS3 and PC. No price or release date yet.
Carnival
Fuel
Strike
Trailer Park
Vacant
The map pack dlc contains 5 maps. Carnival, set in a carnival(duh!), Fuel, set in some kind of desert rig/refinery and Trailer Park, set in some kind of junkyard. Vacant and Strike are COD 4 maps.
On another note, Activision seems to be taking the Call Of Duty series in the sci-fi direction.

Cowboys And Pirates
Recently, quite a few 'open-world' have really impressed. Grand Theft Auto IV, Infamous and Assassin's Creed 2. Coming soon : Cowboys and Pirates in the form of Red Dead Redemption and Pirates Of The Caribbean : Armada Of The Damned aim to top these games.
Both of these games are unique in their own way.
Red Dead Redemption will also feature a 16-person multiplayer which can be played cooperatively or competitively. Set in an open world, players can form a posse and attack another posse or buddy up with everyone. Traditional multiplayer games can also be played.
Armada Of The Damned features ship battles played in real time unlike strategy games. These battles are fairly realistic and action packed and seem to promise a lot fun. Sea conditions factor heavily into combat.

Bioshock 2 Review
I finally got my review out for Bioshock 2. With a lot of hype and high expectations, did the game deliver?
Yes, yes it did. Gameplay feels great and well thought out. You really get a sense of being the hulking metal behemoth Big Daddy(that's him on the cover ^^). Enemies are suitably more powerful compared to the first game to match your own increased strength. The much touted 'Big Sister' throws in a new dimension to the game and gives you something to fear. You can take her down with proper tactics but hearing that piercing scream and seeing a darting shape around corners will be sure to make you approach each corner with care. You also get to play with new weapons, plasmids and equipment.
Big Sister
The environment is as great as the first game but now lacks the air of mystery. You will approach Rapture with a sense of familiarity this time round. The addition of serene underwater environments allow you to admire the artwork and take a breather. However, you cannot backtrack to previous areas this time.
Rapture Underwater
The multiplayer element is quite entertaining and features some wacky fun not found in other multiplayer shooters. It features a Call Of Duty-ish set up which is easily understandable. It won't be at the top of charts but delivers great fun and variety. An interesting thing to note is that the multiplayer also has a bit of story line and character development that makes it unique.
In conclusion, Bioshock 2 is an excellent game and is well worth your time and money. Must have for shooter fans.
