A new DLC for Left 4 Dead 2 has been announced together with a trailer. It will feature the original set of survivors : Bill, Louis, Francis and ZOEY!
This DLC will incorporate the 'sacrifice' game mechanic, hence the name. One player will have to sacrifice themselves in order for the others to escape. In the trailer, it shows a segment where the survivors have to start up a generator to cross a bridge. THREE TANKS will appear, and Bill sacrifices himself. He is so badass.
This DLC will also be the passing of the torch from the original set of survivors to the new ones. This will be the last outing for them.
It's like reality TV, except this is REAL.

The Passing
The Passing DLC for Left 4 Dead 2 has just been released on PC and Xbox 360. It is free for PC and costs 560 points on Xbox.
The Passing delivers a satisfying campaign but players will feel as if the campaign has been cut-short. There are only 3 segments instead of the usual 5.
What's in the passing:
Fallen Survivor
Foot Lockers
M60!
Original Survivors minus -?
- The original survivors from L4D. They only make an appearance at the beginning and the end. They help you out during the finale.
- Fallen survivor functions like a zombie pinata, dropping goodies but also lures players away from the group and to their deaths.
- M60 machine gun and golf club available for use.
- Foot lockers contain huge amount of random items.
- New game mode called 'Mutations'. These are a special set of gameplay modes that only run for a limited time. They affect Campaign, Versus and Scavenge.
