Apple iPad

Apple finally unveiled the much speculated iPad. The new consumer electronic device will have a multi-touch 9.7 inch IPS-LED backlit screen with a resolution of 1024x768, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR.
Other bullet points include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, fingerprint-resistant screen, and digital compass. Battery life stands at a reported 10 hours for the half-inch thick, 1.5 pound gadget.
The company will launch six different models with varying amounts of storage space. Entry level units (Wi-Fi only) with 16GB of storage will cost $499; 32GB of storage will cost $599; and 64GB of storage will cost cost $699.
iPads with Wi-Fi and 3G will cost $629 with 16GB of storage space; $729 with 32GB of storage space; and $829 64GB of storage space.
Apple will release three official accessories for the iPad: a dock, a keyboard with a built-in dock, and a case that opens up to be a stand. Apple's wireless Bluetooth keyboard will also work with the iPad.
It seems to be nothing more than an iPhone on steroids minus the camera. No new groundbreaking features were unveiled and most of the rumors that were circulating proved to be false. Apple has failed to create a new dimension with iPad. However, it's a lot cheaper than predicted.
